We can only schedule appointments when we have vaccine delivery dates and we will contact patients as soon as we can.

Saxonbury House appointment changes due to Coronavirus \ Covid-19
Despite warnings and notices patients with symptoms continue to enter the surgery reception area placing staff and clinicians at risk. This could lead to the spread of the COVID-19 virus and closure of the Surgery.
Please do not attend the surgery to book appointments or queue outside in the morning. Appointments will not be available and we are restricting entry to only those patients who have been clinically triaged.
All enquiries should be made via the phone, email to email@example.com or via the website.
Repeat medication requests should be submitted via Patient Access, email or through the letterbox if in writing.
Please do not enter the surgery unless you have a booked appointment. All appointments are now telephone and the GP will decide if you need to be seen.
Prescriptions requested early cannot be processed so please do not submit them. Delays are being caused as the staff check every request and if not due they have to place them on hold. Pharmacies will not process them early.
Dear Patients, we are in the final stages of moving to a full telephone triage system for all our appointments. This means that when you call to make an appointment you will be added to the GP or Nurse Practitioner telephone triage list. You will be called according to priority where the clinician will deal with as many patients as they can over the phone and only call in those that need to be seen. We have started using video consultations where appropriate and a new SMS messaging service to update patients regarding their results.
Our strategy from the beginning has been to keep patients with possible symptoms away from the surgery so that we can continue to provide essential healthcare services. This reduces the risk of clinicians and staff contracting the virus and having to self isolate but also taking every step to avoid the risk of patients contracting it from another patient.
We have an isolation room setup in case a patient attends and is suspected to have the virus. We have also converted Dr King's consultation room to an urgent assessment room where some patients can be assessed and will be brought in through the side of the building by prior arrangement with the GP. These patients will not enter the main reception or waiting area of the surgery.
All non-essential work has been cancelled in order to allow us to focus on the needs of our most vulnerable patients requiring care.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these very challenging times and we will keep you up to date via this website and notify you via the SMS service.
Saxonbury House Medical Group
Quality in everything we do .....
Welcome to Saxonbury House Surgery.
Saxonbury House Medical Group provide the highest standards in healthcare for all patients in the area. We are able to offer a wide variety of appointments including same day appointments, prebookable appointments, pre bookable weekend appointments to suit your needs.
Saxonbury House is deceptively spacious and was converted from a private house in 1970. Enlarged and modernised in 1985 and again in 2006 with a two storey extention to the rear, it offers a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere with easy access for the disabled. The air conditioned waiting room has a children’s corner with books and toys available to keep younger patients amused while waiting for appointments.
We have 6 GP consultation rooms, 2 GP trainee rooms, 3 Practice Nurse rooms, a phlebotomy room, dedicated mental health counselling room and a large conference room for training and meetings. We also host a private podiatrist, private osteopath, private physiotherapy service and other NHS services including Why weight, Scrivens audiology, rheumatology and the new community geriatrician. Further information on these can be seen in the 'Our Services' section.
The practice area covers Crowborough and used to extend to the surrounding villages of Rotherfield, High Hurstwood, Fairwarp and parts of Mayfield, Groombridge, Nutley and Hadlow Down. We have applied and been approved to have our boundary reduced. This is currently being placed on a digital map which we will display as soon as it's available.
We are part of NHS High Weald Lewes Havens CCG, (for more information visit http://www.highwealdleweshavensccg.nhs.uk) which is part of the NHS. The Commissioning Group covers the area from Forest Row across to Wadhurst in the north and down to the south coast from East Saltdean to Newhaven, including Lewes, Uckfield, Crowborough and Heathfield.
Dr Bennion and Dr Sneddon achieved their training qualification last year and we are now an approved teaching practice. This is becoming a very key area due to the additional number of doctors required over the coming years. The doctors we train are already qualified and working toward their qualification as General Practitioners. Dr Padgham also trains medical students and further information can be viewed under 'Our Services'.
This is facilitated by our dedicated team which includes six doctors (of which four are partners) and an excellent Nursing team including a nurse prescriber.
Please see our Clinics & Services page for a comprehensive list of what is available.
We also benefit from having Chappells Pharmacy in our premises to help expedite the processing of your prescriptions.

The practice have designated disabled parking spaces at the front of the building. Wheelchair access to the building is via the main door. The disabled patients' WC is provided near the side entrance and access to this can be gained from the main entrance.
We have 3 wheelchairs on site which can be provided for patients who need them. Please ask at reception.
If you need any assistance please let the reception team know
